DSA personnel were hired to oversee and advise the buyer of the world's first Dual Deep Worker (DDW) submersible, which was built by NUYTCO RESEARCH LIMITED (NRL) of Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. The DDW was completed in the summer of 2004 and shipped to a neighbouring industrial unit in Mangonia Park, Florida. DSA personnel assisted with preparations for an expedition in Vanuatu using the vessel in August of 2004. DSA organized the logistics and coordinated all aspects of the mobilization of the DDW aboard the R/V Akademik Shokalskiy in Bluff, New Zealand for this expedition in the New Hebrides including all travel and shipping arrangements and coordinating the on-site installation. DSA personnel visited the site and surveyed the vessel prior to the mobilization.
