Robert Wicklund has been involved in the marine industry for the better part of his life. Beginning in his early teens he help support an undersea research habitat in the Caribbean which led him into attending a commercial diving school for air/ mixed gas and bell saturation diving. In the years to follow, Bob has obtained his captains license and has captained numerous vessels in both the commercial and pleasure boat industries. While employed in this field he was introduced to manned submarines. In his early twenties he began piloting, building and developing both research and passenger carrying submarines. He has worked through out the world. Australia, Papua New Guinea. Thailand, numerous islands in the Caribbean, and as far north as the Bering Sea off the Alaskan coast. Bob's 20 years of experience range from project management, site development, technical writing, and solving issues with both the US Coast Guard and The American Bureau of Shipping. In addition Mr. Wicklund has a very strong technical background which includes diesel mechanics, hydraulics, industrial electrical equipment, welding, and high pressure systems.
